The University of Arizona's College of Social & Behavioral Sciences (SBS) -- "The People College" -- focuses on advancing fundamental research on the human condition. We study people -- their thoughts and beliefs, speech and behavior, histories and geography, societies and culture, and organizations and economies. With eight top-ranked graduate programs, SBS is home to some of the University of Arizona's most prestigious units. The College of SBS nurtures in its students the critical-thinking skills and problemsolving tools they will need to address realworld issues, here in Arizona and around the globe. In doing so, we help improve our local economy and help our students compete in the new global economy.
Words Matter - Dr. Sonja Lanehart
"Every language has value. It has something to offer. People have value. People have something to offer," says Dr. Sonja Lanehart, Professor of Linguistics. Dr Lanehart focuses her scholarship on language and education in African American communities. She examines identity, sociolinguistics, and African American education from Black feminist and Critical Race Theory perspectives. Dr. Lanehart is on the advisory board for the Oxford Dictionary of African-American English and has authored several books. She tries to guide the students in her classes to understand that language and words can construct barriers or take them down.

Ahh, Happy Birthday Norman
3:16 Maybe that's why he's no longer with MIT. The University of Arizona's a trash school
If you asked him about his friendship and Jeffrey Epstein he'll say that it's no one's business.
Known associate and defender of Jeffrey Epstein
Friende and associate of Jeffrey Epstein

Chomsky does NOT talk about the real american people….
The american working people DOES NOT KNOW CHOMSKY, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIM…..they only know John Wayne and anticomunism. Just forget the american people. They are just proud of the american army…I could be suffering because I am hungry but I am still proud to belong to the most military power of the world….
🙏🏼♥️🙏🏽♥️🙏
Love him.
U know in innocent in all this idk how ND why is happening but is fucked uo
Why did cat and her bf marked me
It's amazing how he still makes himself accessible to anybody and everybody!
Awful
Go back to doing Led Zeppelin
This is fantastic.
In an alternate reality, i imagine Noam as a wicked gangster rapper, covered in bling, and surrounded by a bevy of beautiful bitches. Rock the microphone, M C Chomsky Chops!
Is there any apartments near where you go for lectures?
I saw him lately and those injections must have been very hard on him. He looks like he’s aged 20 years in the last two, since this was filmed.
i thought this was a tim and eric thing
16 min: Koch Brothers
13min: Pro Life/ Pro Choice
He’s the reason no one ever asks who’s the smartest man in the world.
Unequivocally, the world’s greatest intellectual. Is there even anything close to a Noam Chomsky of sports?
I'd say that Robert Sapolsky's critique of free will positivism was quite scientifically robust.
What exactly happened to Bertrand Russell?
Excellent!
Stop clapping after every response, damn it!
My goal ⭐
Sad didn't mention of Narciso Martinez the pioneer of Conjunto/Norteno. For there is a difference between Conjunto and Norteno, Flaco Jimenez is Conjunto and Los Huracanes del Norte are Norteno. Left a lot of History, especially the influence of the Czechs. Give it a 5 for only giving half the information.
Intro to the speaker actually starts at 7:23
1:22:46 Chomsky just pooped his pants!
0290 It's a BIG BUCKS RACKET for EVERYONE INVOLVED. They went from GLOBAL Warming, to GLOBAL Cooling, to GLOBAL Heating, to GLOBAL Freezing, and FINALLY GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE... NOT!. In reality the OZONE is FIXING ITSELF just fine and reputable scientists AGREE it will be COMPLETELY INTACT BY 2030. If environmentalists we're serious about cleaning up the environment they would be in CHINA & INDIA convincing the actual environmental culprits to change their MOs.
1:37:11 Chomsky the Father of Linguistics is baffled by the commonly used 'figure of speech' phrase, "why didn't you stay in your lane?"

Great content, but as a biologist, why is this in the science department. It's not science.
This is (maybe again) a start, and a great START !! (imho) I hope this 'evolution' will firmly ground and will get all the attention it deserves. And probably and unfortunately needs. Interactive social neuroscience is relatively new and I am thrilled that it has become a scientific 'platform' and research.is 'legitimate.' We should be ashamed to be so careful against the 'grey matter' 😉.
Excelente
For a video that is 1:19:00 this guy explained Norteño and Mariachi music. Northeast Mexican territory is Iconic for Norteño music. And founded the basics of what Norteño music was all about, but people got tired of decades of the Norteño genre that did little progress to adjust to modern Norteño public demand. Enter the Northwest,Baja California,Sonora,Chihuahua,Durango,Sinaloa. This guy forgot to emphasize that the most norteño bands of latter times are from the Northwest . With giants like Conjunto Primavera (Chihuahua) Los Rieleros del Norte (Chihuahua) Los Hermanos Vega (Sonora) Los Tucanes de Tijuana (Baja California) with roots in Sinaloa. He did mentioned los Tigres del Norte (Sinaloa) Chalino Sanchez with Los Amables del Norte (Sinaloa) and my personal favorite, Los Broncos de Reynosa, don't let the name trick you, the lead singer and acordion player was from Durango. He started the whole mafioso ballads and tragedies, which later would come to be known as narco-corridos. It is worth mentioning that Sinaloa acordion players have a more up-beat and bravio way of performing. And are not afraid to introduce other non-traditional Norteño instruments to their Norteño sound. Like tubas or other non-traditional instruments, such appropriations are considered taboo. Northeasteners seem to be against these so called aberrations that taint traditional Norteño norms. But Northwesterners are notoriously admired by the masses. And Sinaloa acordion-play style seems to be emulated by other northwest States. Like it or not, this new wave of Norteño music is here to stay, might as well enjoy it.
